About International School of Management (ISM)
Founded in 1990, the International School of Management (ISM) is one of Germany's leading private business schools. In 2024, ISM earned the prestigious AACSB international accreditation, placing it among the top 6% of business schools globally and making it the first private university of applied sciences in Germany to hold this quality seal.
ISM is distinguished by its strong emphasis on practical applied learning, integrated study semesters abroad, mandatory corporate internships, and small class cohorts. Unlike institutions isolated on a single regional campus, ISM operates across seven major economic hubs in Germany, giving students direct access to corporate headquarters, financial markets, and technology centres.
- Triple-Tier Accreditation: Holds unlimited German state recognition, German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat) accreditation, FIBAA accreditation, and prestigious AACSB accreditation.
- Integrated Semester Abroad: Bachelor's and Master's programs build a compulsory semester abroad into the curriculum at one of ISM's 190+ global partner universities.
- Small Class Sizes: Seminars are capped at small cohorts to ensure direct interaction with professors and corporate mentors.
- 7 Economic Hubs: Students can study in Germany's major economic engines, including Frankfurt (finance), Munich (tech/automotive), Hamburg (trade/logistics), and Berlin (startups).
